Practice in the Kobukan Dojo (May, 2011)a

The Russian division of Kobujodokai was opened in 2007 by authority of Matsumura Shigehiro-kancho. The head and chief instructor of the Russian division is Alexey Dyakov, 4th dan of jodo ZNKR, who has practiced jodo since 1994.

The main dojo of the Russian division “Koshinkan” is situated in the city of Nizhny Novgorod on Sennaya square, where 11 followers are practiced.

The dojo has branches and disciples in the following cities: Moscow, Kaluga, Samara, Perm, Buzuluk.

The total number of people practicing in the Russian division of Kobujodokai is about 40 people.

The disciples of the division attended qualification classes in Kobukan dojo (Tokyo) in 2005, Shobukan dojo (Paris) in 2007. The head of the division has been attending qualification classes in Kobukan dojo in Tokyo every year since 2003.
